Not that I can take any credit for her talent and hard work, but I'm very proud to see a former student of mine -- Holly Pickett -- whom I taught in my first semester as a photojournalism instructor at the University of Georgia -- producing some really amazing and powerful images in Afghanistan, and the middle east, working alongside NPR reporter Soraya Sarhaddi Nelson.
